I want to begin learning to speak and understand Spanish (conversation al). It would help a lot with job opportunities as well. I want a small group learning environment that will be patient and will make learning Spanish enjoyable. Conversationa l and comprehension skills are most important by far. I took 2 years of Spanish in high school (reading, writing, comprehension ), but do not remember much. It might come back to me as lessons go on. I don't know how long I want to take lessons for, I just know that I want to be much more proficient in Spanish and feel more comfortable in the Latin community here.

Ms. Mikhailiv,
I am interested in being tutored in Ukrainian one on one this summer. I have learned a little Ukrainian as a result of my wife's (Christine Tymkiw) efforts to teach our two young daughters (ages 4 and 2) Ukrainian. (She speaks to them only in Ukrainian.) My vocabulary is limited to basic words and phrases.
I wish to learn Ukrainian on a personal level so that I may more fully participate in Ukrainian activities with my children. I also wish to learn Ukrainian on a business level as my law firm practices solely in Customs and International Trade matters and I have received inquiries asking for assistance from Ukrainians looking to sell goods into the US market. In addition, the partners of my firm have indicated that they want me to focus on developing clients from the countries of Eastern European, Russia and the former Soviet Republics.
I am willing to devote a substantial amount of time to this project over the next few months, for example, 1-2 hour sessions twice during the work week and once on Saturday morning or afternoon for a total of three sessions a week.
