I am interested in reading, writing, speaking and listening in Amharic. I used to live in Debre Markos and I used to be mildly proficient. I am looking for a teacher who not only speaks the language as a native speaker, but has experience teaching language. I want the teacher to assess my level, discuss with me my goals and plan lessons accordingly. I live in Chicago where there are many Ethiopians. I could easily immerse myself in the language. I want an instructor to do more than simply speak to me in the language. I am a good language learner and hard working student. I look forward to meeting a teacher in the Chicago area.

I would like to learn Catalan since I married a Catalan girl, and plan to live an dwork in Catalunya in the future.
I would also like to converse freely with her friends and family.
My level is beginner and I have high expectations. I would like to have full command of the spoken and written language.
I dedicate 2 hours weekly to web conferencing sessions, plus an additional 4 hours weekly in my own time of reading Catalan books, revising grammar and listening to Catalan digital radio.
I found in my teacher Monica Barnes, remarkable teaching skills. She uses active learning. A good teacher keeps you interested, motivated, makes the learining process fun. I have found all these qualities in my teacher.
