I would like to take private or small-group lessons in spoken Hindi. I am doing a lot of business in North India, and I would like to be able to communicate with people at all levels of society. Later, time permitting, I would like to learn to read Devanagari script.

My profeciency level in Italian is close to zero. I can pick out words in operatic Italian and can occasionally translate a line or two of a libretto using a dictionary, but have essentially no ability to speak, read or write Italian.
I f possible I would like to learn enough Italian to test out of beginning college classes--I am thinking of returning to school after a VERY long hiatus.
No t sure what qualities I am looking for in a teacher, but I would like to learn at the quickest pace that I am able to, although I don't know what that pace is.
