I was first introduced to the Dari dialect of Farsi during my time in Afghanistan and was tutored by a native Pashto speaker. My level in the language is extreme beginner, but after struggling with Arabic for the past 5 years and visiting with an Afghan friend recently, I realize that I have had a much greater retention of the Farsi that I learned. I would like to start again in learning the language in the hope that it will aid me with future employment as well as being a starting platform to resume study in Arabic. I am willing to spend as much time on learning as possible, with the only limitations being financial.
