I am a beginner looking to learn Thai for personal reasons. I would like to be able to write and speak Thai. The ideal teacher is a skilled teacher, knowledgeable in constructing a learning program that will be effective in helping me to learn Thai based on my learning style. I am a visual learner and have a difficult time hearing sounds. Initially, learning through conversation will be difficult.

I have wanted to learn Gaelic for many years now. I have a grandmother whos English is very poor which makes it very difficult to speak with her. I would like for my family & I to be able to speak fluently to make our conversations easier. Also, I would like for my daughter to know more then just English & Spanish. We have tried recorded methods, these are more difficult to use then we had hoped.

My proficiency in speaking/read ing/grammar/ec t in Thai is non existent. I'm a beginner at best. Only Thai I know is common curtsy hello, thank you, delicious, ect. So I would be starting from square one. I'm interested in learning to speak Thai for a few reasons. One being that I am fascinated by the culture and have been there to visit a few times. The friends I have there are either native or speak Thai very well so I have never had to learn out of necessity. I plan to visit again this year and would like to be more self sufficient in my travels. I'm willing to spend a considerable amount of time on learning if I have the right teacher. I am mainly looking to learn conversationa l Thai, if I excel and the teacher is good, maybe it will evolve into more. For a teacher I have only simple requests, patient, understanding and someone who not only knows language but the culture as well.

I am interested in conversationa l Spanish. I studied Spanish years ago so I am not an absolute beginner. I will be traveling to Spain in the fall or winter and would like to improve my Spanish by then. I think it would be nice to be part of a group, or individual lessons are fine, depending on the cost. I would like a native Spanish speaking teacher preferably from Spain. I'm thinking about one lesson a week. The location is an issue. I live in Newtown Square.
