I want to learn how to speak Spanish because I have always wanted to communicate with the Hispanic community. I also want to be able to use the language in my healthcare profession and as I work with Spanish-speak ing people when I do missions within the city of Dallas, and other places. I don't know how to speak any Spanish but am very eager to learn. I have more time right now to learn the language because I am taking a year off school right now. I am looking for a patient teacher who is willing to start at the beginning with me and teach me how to speak the language efficiently.

I am a beginner when it comes to Japanese. I know a few words and some simple grammer, and I can correctly pronounce words pretty well, but I don't know any kanji or anything.
Th ere isn't really any particular reason I'm trying to learn Japanese, only that I'm very interested in Japan and that I am looking into working with manga and/or anime in Japan, and that I would also like to be a Foreign Exchange Student there.
I need improvements in all areas of Japanese (That was kind of blunt, huh? *laughs*)
Le t's see...I am willing to devote up to two hours a day, each day of the workweek to my language lessons, though preferably I would like 1 1/2 hour lessons each day.
There aren't any specific qualities that I would like in my tutor, except that I would really like it if my tutor had a bit of a sense of humor.

Hi Olga,
My husband and I are adopting two young children (under 3 years old, a boy and girl) from Russia. We are now waiting for our match! I have been studying a little Russian from books but would like to learn the language from a native speaker and to eventually teach our children both English and Russian. I am looking for a teacher who is patient but will challenge me, and perhaps long term to help with teaching our children, probably in our home at that point. Until then I would like to have lessons once or twice a week and preferably not have to drive very far! I would also like to learn more about the Russian culture. I am looking primarily for someone with which to practice listening and speaking. I read and write at an intermediate level but have a hard time understanding the spoken language. At my age I will never be completely fluent, but I would like to become solidly functional. I spend probably 5 hours per week working on it on my own. My goal is to live in Umbria for several years with my husband, sometime in the future.
