Greetings,
I am looking for a 'one on one' teacher to help me learn Tagolog. I am a Canadian, 53 year old man and I have been working in the Philippines, on and off since 2006. While I have picked up a lot of words, I have no understanding of sentence structure and I would like to learn. My good friend tells me I need to learn properly, with no accent, so that is my goal. I have also set myself a target date of the middle of March to be able to converse in an acceptable manner. I know this may be tight but I tend to learn better with a deadline. My schedule is quite flexible and I own my own service so I can meet anywhere, within reason. I am currently working on a project in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan and am coded for Mondays.

Hello!
I am balikbayan from the U.S. and am in the Philippines for six months. One of my goals while here is to learn Tagalog. I have studied independently and also took an 8-week intensive course that is the equivalent of one year of study. I took this intensive at the University of Wisconsin, Madision, in 2003.
Currently I study Tagalog 3 hours a day during the work week.
I am looking for a teacher who will set goals and the learning agenda with me. In my learning I want conversationa l practice, vocabulary building, and grammar.
