I can not really speak Tagalog except for a few phrases and words. I wish to learn Tagalog because I am half-Filipino and I want to eventually move to the Philippines and perhaps go into showbiz. I want to become conversant in Tagalog more than I want to understand grammar. I would like to spend around three hours a day. As long as my teacher helps me learn the language then I am fine with them.
I will probably be moving to Iloilo in September so I don't know if I should contact you then or what, but I thought I would get a head start on things.

Hello. My Name is Bill Roberts and I am looking for a Tagalog teacher. My wife is filipino, my church is filipino and alot of our friends are filipino. I would really like to learn how to speak tagalog fluently. I do not speak any at present. I would like to have a one hour lesson once or twice a week until I can speak tagalog fluently. I will be travelling to the Philippines next summer so it would really be an honor if I could speak a little tagalog to my wife's relatives then. I am looking for a good teacher who can teach an English speaking person from the beginning well enough to communicate with someone in the Philippines.

Absoloute beginner,no lessons what so ever.
Im hoping to go to Manila in march 09,for a few months.
All areas will need covered.
4 or 5 hours a week.
Someon e with a great deal of patience,who can make a lesson relaxed,inter esting,maybe fun and who does not take themselves too seriously.Im alsmost forty years old,so all i ask is that im taken seriously as im the customer/stud ent and it will be me who is paying for their time.
I would also prefer a woman to tutor me,ive tried to learn a language before and responded better to female teachers.
