I have lived in the Philippines the past 4 years however I go out very little and most folks here speak some English. My Filipina wife has little patience in teaching Tagalog.

Hi, my name is Paul. I am married to a filipina and have been trying to learn tagalog for a number of years through books and online courses. We are planning to spend our retirement in both Canada and the Philippines, so its time to try and learn tagalog again :-). Hopefully this website is the missing piece in my studies. I am an English teacher who works has moved here as my girlfriend is Filipina. I want to learn about the culture and assimilate into Filipino society. The first step in this is learning the language.
I am an A0 beginner currently but feel that I will learn quickly as I am a linguist by profession. I am looking to study 3 times a week, though this is subject to change as my own teaching schedule is fluid.
