I am interested in becomimg proficient in tagalog for conversation. Currently, I am studying on my own with books purchased on-line. I find them difficult to follow and feel I would benefit from one on one instruction. I consider myself a beginner. I'm a beginner... i know how to somewhat understand Tagalog (illocano) but i don't know how to fluently speak it nor write. The reason i am learning is to keep my heritage alive. I need improvement in all areas! I'm so dedicated to even go to the Philippines for a month or so to learn the native language. The qualities i am looking for is someone who is as dedicated to teaching me as i am to understanding the language.
