I am American and have been studying Arabic on my own unsuccessfull y for over 2 years. I have tried to use online services, books, CDs, youtube, music, movies and friends, nothing seems to work. I know some vocab, letters and simple greetings. I currently live in Egypt with my husband. I would really like to understand and communicate with my in-laws and friends. I am also pregnant and I feel it is very important that I learn Arabic so I can teach our child. I would consider myself a beginner needing improvement in all areas, especially the non English sounds. I would like to meet with someone once or twice a week, (in-person or online via chat or something like skype), with self study and practice daily. I am looking for a teacher that is fluent in English and Egyptian Arabic, kind, flexible, understanding of the needs of non-Arabic speakers and very patient. I get very frustrated with myself trying to learn, positive reinforcement would be much appreciated. Because I am Muslim I would prefer a female teacher if possible. Thank you

Well i want to learn japanese because its fun. i just love watching anime and i kind of got obessed with the japanese voices, so i decided to leran it myself no matter how hard it can be. :D
As you can see , i am a total absolute beginner and i have no idea about what i am getting myself into.
Well i am in a medical school you see, so i have not much time for extracurricul ar activities but i guess 1 hour class twice a week will be good for me.
I want teachers who really know what they are doing and who care about the stundent's improvement not about the money only.i also prefer teacher who are more likely to be creative in their methods of tutoring and don't use the old traditional ones .
