I've always been interested in learning languages but find that I can never find instructions in the ones that interest me most. I am an absolute beginner and know a few words and phrases in tagalog and felt now is the time to stop dabbling and make an all out effort to learn another language.
Ar ea of improvement? All of it... I want to know the grammar, I want to be able not only to speak it but hear it spoken in its native tongue and understand it.
I'm willing to devote a considerable amount of time to learning.
Fr om my instructor, I desire someone who wants to have fun with it and not spend a great amount of time teaching me phrases that will never come up in daily usage. For example, 'Where is the pencil'. I would rather concentrate on how to string words together myself and have them grammatically correct. How to conjugate verbs and when to apply different tenses.
