Dear Sir/Madame:
My name is Raquel Lopez. I am a qualified teacher of English in my own country (Spain).
I am contacting you as a school/univer sity which would give me the opportunity of working as a teaching of Spanish/Engli sh or be involved with international students of Spanish or English language/cult ure.
I have completed a Bachelor in Arts (Division: English Philology) at the University of Extremadura (Spain) and I have also attained 300 hours in a training course for Teachers of English (Certificate of Proficiency in Teaching).
I n addition I have completed 60 hours in a class course in England in the University of Central Lancashire (Preston, PR1 2HE)in 2000, and worked as teacher assistant for the same university in 2003. This course was under the Intensive Summer School and was attended by overseas students with Spanish and French backgrounds.
PRESENT EMPLOYMENT
1. Teacher of English and Spanish (Primary & Secondary Education PuertaPalma School)
2. Teacher in charge of English as extracurricul ar activity -Trinity Graded Examinations in Spoken English for speakers of other languages- (Primary & Secondary Education PuertaPalma School, Spain)
My goal now is to continue my career in UK.
I consider myself a punctual, reliable, linguistic (Spanish, Portuguese and English) experienced in dealing with students and organising people, and of course willing to travel. I´m hard working, enthusiastic, well organised, I show initiative and have the ability to work under pressure and deadlines (what I think is particularly important). I also have excellent typing skills.
I am a very confident person and have faith in my teaching skills. I like to make myself understood and communicate clearly.
