We are a family of three including Husband age 34 , wife age 32, and son age 11. I am a High School graduate and my wife graduated from Kent State. My son is currently in the 5th grade. We also have a 2 year old son. I want to learn chinese as a family so It can be used a a regular basis. It is most important that my children learn it for their future.
We are willing to spend two days per week to learn.

I am looking for a punjabi teacher to begin lessons in spoken punjabi and conversation. I am not interested in learning to read and write Gurmukhi script. I am American born and my husband is from India and would like to be able to speak with my husband's family, especially his parents. Because of my intended audience, it is important to me to learn gender appropriate and polite forms of address.
M y conversationa l level is beginner. I know a few of phrases of greeting and a few sentences. I have briefly attended the Khalsa school at the local Gurudwara, however, the classes were geard towards children and designed mostly to teach reading and writing for people who already speak punjabi. I have also tried to find conversationa l Punjabi lessons on CD or on the internet and have discovered that they are not readily available. As a last resort, I have taken to sudying a little Hindi to understand some of the sentence structures that my family uses, but it is not the language they primarily speak.
I am looking for an experienced teacher with a developed curiculum that focuses on grammar, sentence structure, and pronunciation for conversationa l punjabi, not just a native speaker for practice. I am willing to do classes over the internet with live video chat. I am hoping to do classes in the evening once a week with homework assignments to finish prior to the next session.
