I have been fascinated with Scotland for 20+ years. This coming summer (2015) I will be leading a group of 50 students and adults to Edinburgh and England. Eventually, I would like to travel to Scotland without so many people : ) I want to explore the Highlands and the Hebrides.
I am a beginning learner. I usually have a pretty good ear for languages and accents, but I am starting at the very bottom of the scale for.
I am able to spend a few hours a week in class and more time studying and working on my lessons. I do teach school during the day (United States, Eastern Standard Time) so late afternoon or evening classes would be best.
I am looking for a teacher who is willing to work with people at the students pace, not fly through material just to get it covered. I am also looking for someone that not only has the knowledge of the language, but an understanding of the culture of the country where the language is used.

Ive always been interested in the Japanese language. When I was little, I would always see different Kanji markings in TV shows, and I thought it was beautiful. Over the years, I've picked up a few words and phrases, but I'd really like to take it to the next level. I've always been really passionate about learning the language, but I've never really known how to go about learning it. Do you study vocab? Or do you learn to read and write first? Conversation and listening? Ect.. I'm hoping to find a teacher that can really make sense of it all to me, and have a fun time doing it too.

Hello
I am interested in learning Arabic because I was born and brought up in the U.A.E; We were required to learn Arabic at schools till Grade 10, which was more of a formality than hands-on learning because of which I can only read, but not speak Arabic.
My proficiency level would probably be intermediate although I cannot speak Arabic.
Ar eas of improvement most certainly have to be conversation as I Would like to be fluent conversing in this language and can better communicate with a few Arab friends back home
6-8 Hours a week or more if required. My teacher has to be friendly and shold hopefully concentrate on my desire to converse in Arabic.

I have a home near Meaux where I spend approximately 4-6 weeks per year. I would like to find a tutor in Paris, Meaux or Riems with whom I could meet a few times one on one each time I am there with internet lessons in between. I specifically would like to meet with a teacher Monday and Tuesday, March 19-20. I will then not be back in person until September and possibly July. I have passed my A1 but consider myself still very much a beginner. My focus is on conversationa l French but I would eventually like to improve my grammar and to be able to read magazines, etc. with more ease.
