I check how the student expresses him/herself - for fluency and grammar.
I occasionally use a mini recorder to play back to the student - only if he/she wants.
I don't correct all conversation mistakes to begin with - only the important ones then have the student write them down with explanations.
I check the grammar, spelling and sentence formation - correcting when necessary.
I give homework if required. |

-Let's just talk. Talk and listen. It's a must. Always, no matter what language you're trying to learn.
-Don' t ever feel embarrassed about your accent or pronunciation . The sooner you get rid of that weight, the better.
-As I speak english I can explain particular things to you in case you/we get stuck. No problem. If you want to, we can also get some pen and paper and write down the most important topics. Not too much, in my experience this slows down the class and...
-If you want to, I can send you regular e-mails with contents that might be useful for you.
-Furthe rmore, I can give you some context or background about any questions you have about culture-polit ics-history of Spain, if it's in my hands to do so. That way, you kill two birds with one stone.
I guess that's all.
