My teaching approach is student-cente red and highly practical. I believe that effective language learning comes from understanding how the language is actually used, not just memorizing rules or vocabulary. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level, learning style, and personal goals.
I place strong emphasis on pronunciation and tones at an early stage, as they are essential for clear communication in Chinese. Grammar and vocabulary are introduced in context, using real-life examples and guided practice, so students can immediately apply what they learn.
I aim to create a supportive and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Lessons are structured, goal-oriented , and focused on steady progress, helping students build both confidence and long-term language ability. |

I firmly believe that language should be learned through conversation, watching movies, listening to music, reading literature in original vs. translated version, learning about the culture and tradition. Also, for upper-level students, through comparing and contrasting the language and the culture to other languages and cultures the student is familiar with (best results when we compare ith mother tongue of the student). |
