Gaeilge
i would like to learn Gaeilge. I am a bit a long in learning. I can use ta and is and am learning conjugations. essentially i need practice because i need to get all the verbs and nouns to stick in my head well enough for me to speak them. I can read them well enough. So if you wouldn't mind tossing back some e-mails in gaeilge i'd be grateful. Slán!

Lithuania now and then
My grandparents on both sides were from Lithuania. I would like to know more about the people and customs. I only have my grandparent memories of their home towns. I am second generation American so a lot has been lost in the translation. My grandmother on the mother's side brought many Lithuanian people to America which also peaked my interest although I was very young at the time. The language has escaped me except for a few phrases and I am sure the language has evolved as all languages do.

As for the music, I would suggest you to listen to the group Pikkardiyska Tertsiya. In their album "Antology. Volume 2" there are musical adaptation of most known Ukrainian folk songs. Find it and listen.
