Language Versions
We provide versions of this agreement in several languages for your convenience. Where there is any conflict, the English version shall apply.

Be Considerate to Others
This is a site for mature and considerate people to help each other learn in a supportive, encouraging and relaxing environment. Abuse and harassment will not be tolerated. 
If you treat others in an abusive or harassing manner, you will be banned from this club, possibly without refund. 
If you see someone else behaving in an abusive or harassing manner, please report this to MyLanguageExchange.com.
In addition, you will not upload any material that is illegal, libelous, defamatory, or anything that could violate the rights of other parties. 

Use for Language Exchange Only
You will use this site for language exchange only. For example, you will not use the site to:

• distribute or advertise commercial activities of other parties.
• solicit MyLanguageExchange.com members and guests to join outside sites or online services or organizations.
• spread hate or disinformation.

You will not solicit MyLanguageExchange.com members and guests for any reason other than to find a language exchange partner to improve the personal foreign language skills of yourself and that of your partners. Any material contained in this site is for your private personal use only. You may not download the material for commercial use.

We reserve the right to modify or remove any submissions or users for any reason we see fit without warning or refund, even for reasons not lised above.

Removing Abusers
We try to detect and remove abusers of the site (scammers, fraudsters, etc.) by a combination of automated and manual means. But occasionally, some of these people still manage to get through. If you see someone abusing the site, please report him to us immediately, so we can remove him and protect the community.

Use Common Sense
Please be aware that MyLanguageExchange.com does not verify the identities of its members or guests, nor do we verify the accuracy of the content they post. Do not divulge personal contact information such as your telephone number or address in public forums such as message boards or chat rooms. 

Internet Scammers
Combatting scammers or fraudsters is an ongoing struggle for all online communities. If you are not already familiar with the common Internet 'Romance' scam or 'Nigerian' scam, or 'Inheritance' scam, please see these warnings from a consumer protection agency:

Your Contact Information
You may not write your email address or other contact information in the public sections of the community such as the bulletin boards or the Description section of your profile. You may only write your email address in the email address field of your profile.

Any contact information you write may be removed without warning.

Children Under 13 Years of Age
Children under age 13 must be supervised by an adult guardian when using this site.

Limits of Liability
We are not liable for any harm or loss that results from your giving out of personal information over our site. We are not liable for any harm or loss that results from your use of any content from this site.

To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, My Language Exchange disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

My Language Exchange does not warrant that the functions contained in the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

My Language Exchange does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the service in terms of its correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise. You assume the entire cost of all necessary servicing, repair, or correction.

Hold Harmless Agreement
By using My Language Exchange, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless My Language Exchange, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against all losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation of these terms of service, any errors or failure of technology, any breaches of data, any content you post or share, any interaction with other users, or any activity related to your account.

You also agree to indemnify and hold My Language Exchange harmless from any claims, actions, or demands arising out of or relating to your use of the language exchange services, including any interactions or disputes with other users, or any content you post, upload, or otherwise transmit through the service.

This indemnification obligation will survive these terms of service and your use of My Language Exchange.

Administration Fee
We reserve the right to charge an administration fee equal to the amount of your paid subscription for any unusual or manual intervention, such as to investigate cases of abuse where you are found to be in violation of these terms.

Bugs
Programming errors that lead to unintended behavior is always possible, even after testing. You accept that the system may contain bugs and will report any bugs to us immediately, so we may fix them. You will hold us harmless for any loss that results from programming errors (bugs) or unintended behavior.

Your Password
You will keep your password secret and will report any breach of security.

Submissions
When you submit anything, you are giving MyLanguageExchange.com the rights to publish it worldwide, royalty-free.

We reserve the right to modify or remove any submissions or users for any reason we see fit without warning or refund.
