<Also when you speak about a sensei, you should
use keigo. Since you are writing a letter to your sensei,
you should use the humble form, as follows:
Nihon no sensei ni o tegami wo o kaki shitai desu ga...
Boku wa Toronto Downtown de shunde iru~!
humble verbs = o + kaki + suru or itasu
日本の先生にお手紙をお書きしたいですが、
Boku wa Toronto Downtown de shunde iru
<boku wa machinaka no toronto ni sunde imasu.
僕はは町中のトロントに住んでいます。
Study Japanese is very rewarding, isn't it?
Word of advice, make sure you diligently study
kanji. If you don't know how to read and write it
well, it can come back to haunt you.
