Interesting in a private exchange/ Visit to Germany for some weeks?
Hey,
Is anyone interested in doing a private exchange, or just want to stay with my family in this July and August for some weeks. I am an eighteen years old girl and i live in Germany close to Heidelberg and Frankfurt, so in the South of Germany. I come up to this because i had bad experience with an organisation with which i did an exchange and that cost me so much money, although they did not really do anything except finding a family. So, i think it is a pity if people don't get the possibility to do something like this just becuase they can't afford it.
You shouldn't be older than 20! And be able to speak englisch. Of course we would get to know each other bevore.

Can someone recommend me a good, not too expensive organisation which offers this and especially one, where you can go to more than one country?

Re:Re:Heading to Germany in July!
I will hopefully not be spending too much I budget around £3000, I do intend on car rental if its easy enough to do. Also, I do plan on being in Ulm, Munich, Augsburg, Stuttgart, Berlin. But do not know enough to plan sights or events ect.. I do want to see some of the capms, I studied much of the Concentration camps empire and the sad history. As for staying arrangements, I've booked at one hostel already but have no other arrangements made for the rest. Ideas suggestions yes bitte!

Re:Heading to Germany in July!
Welcome to Germany. Three weeks is the right timeframe to explore the history of germany.
Are you interested in German history, or in the pre-German area.
Depending on your interests you could spend the first two or three days in Munich, then a week in Konstanz, another week in Düsseldorf and the final few days in Berlin. Munich is a great place by itself, Konstanz can be used as a platform to explore the Bodensee, Rhein Falls, Black Forest, a trip to Switzerland, a trip to Austria, a visit to Stuttgart and Freiburg. Düsseldorf is the perfect city to explore Düsseldort itself, but also Cologne, Trier or Aachen. Then Berlin is a great place by itself too. What is your budget?

Heading to Germany in July!
I am traveling to Germany in July, I will be staying for 3 weeks, and plan on doing many things. I am trying to learn my german very well so I may make this much easier for myself and those who I may meet on my travel. I dont really have any ideas of what is the best things to do while there, or where to go. I have met some wonderful people that I do plan on meeting while there. I am interested in history, culture, food and nightlife. Learning my german would be a huge help, and knowing where to go would be even better. Please email for more, I can always upgrade to gold if needed.
Thank you, Mel!
