Re:please recommend: European-developed audio instruction courses?
I'm always on the look-out for language programs and books and there is no doubt that the English speaking world has the largest selection and range.
Price-wise the best value are the 'Teach Yourself Series' and the 'Colloquial... ' series. They have a huge range of languages covered and if you finish the course you can speak the language. There really is a lot of rubbish out there though when it comes to computer and tape courses

Software Translation
Hi I am a 19 year old titled computer specialist. I am currently working on a couple softwares projects. 1 deals with culture the other one deals with online games. I would like to find someone who would help with the translation of this software, in return I am willing to give full reproduction, and distribution rights of such software (exept in USA). I Speak English and Spanish. My french is not good. I need to translate to French and Italian. Either a guy or a girl is fine. By the way i will be traveling to france in the beggining of 2005! my dream,.. I am not sure what part of france yet, ill go basically anywhere as long as its france!

Re:Translation Problems with E-Mail in Hebrew Fonts
I don't have a direct solution but I can suggest a possible work-around.
Prepare the letter in Hebrew.
Print the screen to the buffer: Hit the Print Screen/SysRq key. Open Microsoft Paint.
Paste. You may get a message that says the item to be pasted is larger than the screen or something like that. Just say yes.
Using the select icon, select the portion of the screen with the Hebrew letter. You may have to move the screen in Paint around a bit to get the letter centered on your computer screen.
Copy the selection: Ctrl-C
Paste it into a new Paint screen and save that to a file. You will now have a large bitmap (.bmp) file. You need to change it to a .jpg and for this you will need some software that will make the conversions. There is free stuff out on the web but you may already have something in your computer if you have a digital camera or photo manipulating software.
Convert the .bmp into a .jpg and make it under 30K if possible.
Send a letter to your friend and say that you have uploaded a gif file. Upload the file and send it out.
Your friend then can read your letter in Hebrew.

English Pronunciation Software
I am looking for a program that allows me to input an English word and then immediately plays an audio file with the correct pronunciation. Speed and ease-of-use are the most important features. If anyone knows of any such software, please let me know.
Best regards,
Tom Cooper

Re:Re:Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone
No experience with Pimsleur but I really don't like Rosetta Stone. I don't think you learn that much and it's so expensive.
