Looking to learn Japanese!
Hello/Konnichiwa! I am an 18-year-old female from Canada, going on an exchange next year to Japan, and I would really like to learn from someone native to the language! I have taken coursework in Japanese, but I am still a beginner, and want to learn to speak Japanese well for my exchange. If you feel you can help me, message me! I will be very happy to help you learn English in exchange! =)

Learning English at a Farmstay on Kangaroo Island, Australia
Hi, everyone,

I'm an English teacher. I privately teach conversational, business, and special-purpose English, at our Farmstay on Kangaroo Island, South Australia.

Students live with us as part of our family. Because lessons are one-on-one or two-on-one, it is not like being in school; you can learn exactly what you want and need to learn. You can choose sit-down study, activity-based learning, or a mix of the two, so learning is very enjoyable.

I also take my students on tours around the Island to see its natural beauty and native animals (koalas, kangaroos, possums, seals, wallabies, echidnas, many kinds of birds, and much more).

Sometimes we go to one of the peaceful, beautiful beaches, and you can learn English there while enjoying the scenery. Or have a picnic and English lesson while watching the seals swimming and playing. You can learn to cook typical Australian foods, make crafts from natural materials, or how to propagate plants and grow a food garden - all while learning English. You can help on the farm, meet our cows and goats, and learn English while you're doing it. You can even feed the pet kangaroos and possums that live with us - and learn to talk to them in English.

We have had people of all ages from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and a number of European countries stay with us. They all say the same - that learning English while having a holiday on our farm has been a wonderful learning experience for them, and that their English skills have improved a great deal.

Sometimes we also accept a good worker who has skills in machine operating or using farm equipment, and give them free accommodation and meals in exchange for their help on the farm. All they pay for is their English lessons.

If you are thinking of travelling to Australia to a language school to learn English, you might consider coming to our Farmstay. I would be happy to help you improve your English and give you an enjoyable learning experience!
