Re:I need learning words for taking care of an English speaker old lady
¡Hola Mary!
¡Su ingles es excelente! Solo hay unas cosas que les hacen soñar un poco más naturales sus frases:
--It’s a beautiful day today; let’s go for a little walk!
-- Here’s your medicine…open your mouth (we’re very possessive about our bodies in English, unlike in Spanish. Always use a possessive with anatomy: your mouth, your hair, your arm, your leg…)
You may not even need to say, "here's your medicine". That part will be obvious when you come to her with the spoon or pills and say, "Open your mouth.
-- Stand up; I need to change the sheets.
-- Wait a moment; I’ll be right there
-- I’ll bring your water in just a moment
--Let's go take a shower; the water is nice and warm (It seems silly, but the change in the order of the words makes a big difference for a native speaker, as far as the phrase sounding natural. Es como la diferencia entre, “vengo a tu casa mañana a las dos”, y “vengo mañana a tu casa a las dos”. Tal vez ninguna de las dos son perfectas, pero creo que para usted, una soñará más natural que la otra. Es lo mismo para nosotros en muchos casos. But I’m being very picky here. Your English is so terrific, I feel I can only help you by offering very sophisticated suggestions)
I’m afraid I’m not sure how to guess what you might need for “and so on,” Please let us know if you think of any more specific phrases you’d like us to check for you.
¡Suerte!

I am anxious to find a friend to practise my oral English.I believe I can be helpful for you to practice Chinese.
I like English very much, and also I would like to learn languages. Now I have learned a little Japanese, and I am learning Korea. I have experience in studying exchange, so I believe I can be a good friend for those who want to practice their Chinese. English is very important for me, because my major is business English, and I will have a postgraduate exam, which has an oral English test. I hope we can be friends.
