Anyone from America ashamed to say they are?
I am American and have lived here my whole life, but honestly sometimes its hard to say America is where I live. America goes after terrorists when were terrorists ourselves, we kill innocent children and women, and hate people based on their religion which we know nothing about. Write back if you feel the same.

Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:War in Lebanon
Dear Balquis, I cant believe Ive finally met someone who agrees with me. Im always looked at like Im crazy by my family, by not being pro-America, its not like I dont want to love my country. But our country does make it pretty easy to dislike it sometimes. My mom is the only one who seems to have woken up and realized our country is definetly not perfect, I would really like to write with you, if you can.

Re:Re:Re:I don't know how some people hate something or someone they don't know
It is really stupid for others to be judged on their beliefs. My dad is someone that thinks all muslims hate America, but you cant judge an entire group of people for the actions of a few. I am currently looking into islam as my religion and Im already afraid of what they'll say. Write me back, I need advise.

wOULD LIKE TO CORRESPOND WITH SOMEONE IN lITHUANIA
i AM INTERESTED IN CORRESPONDING WITH SOMEONE IN lITHUANIA AS i AM OF LITHUANIAN DESCENT. I visited my mother's family in Vilinus in August, 2006. The country is very beautiful, and very clean. My cousin's wife knows how to speak English but she is very busy as she works. So to learn more about my parents country, it would be nice to correspond with someone. I live in the U.S.A. Hoping to hear from someone soon. Ruta

Re:Re:Re:Re:War...
Katie, if you had a doctor and you were sick, and you went to him for treatment and he ended up making foolish decisions that nearly cost you your life, and that any first year med student could have advised against, would you say, "Well, he's a DOCTOR, he obviously had to take tests and the Hypocratic Oath, I can't be angry at him because I couldn't be a doctor?" I should certainly hope not; if people did that, then we would have no standards to hold anyone to. Instead, your response should be to seek better treatment and file a malpractice suit.
Just because I am not qualified to be the President, does not mean I am not qualified to realize that the President has made dozens of errors and destroyed the Constitution. As though the War in Iraq is not bad enough, he has also restricted habeas corpus and the right against cruel and unusual punishment. Sure, he may be doing the best job he can; but the fact remains he is NOT doing well enough. If all the fools in the world were entrusted with important positions and excuses made for them with the phrase 'he's doing the best we can'- the world would be going to Hades in a handbasket.
Then again, it very well might be.

Re:Re:Re:War...
Who are we to judge President Bush? Think about the decisions he's had to make. Don't you think they weigh on his mind? He's doing the best job he can given the circumstances. Oh, and he most definitely isn't stupid considering you have to pass a civil service test to qualify for president. Why don't you run for president if you think you can do a better job trying to protect over a quarter of a billion Americans from foreign countries? Good luck!
