Hello! Since you're directly referring to the English "I want to die" meme, they also have this meme in Japan! It started on a Japanese forum.

It is 死にたい (shinitai). You can also say 死にたいです (shinitai desu) to be a little more formal about it. Or if you want to soften it (not make it seem so literal), you can say ちょっと死にたいよ (chotto shinitai yo). Hope that helps!

Need help translating
Okay so it’s a very wide meme across the US to say you want to kill yourself. While it’s actually true in my case, and I do, I’d like to learn how to say this in Japanese without alarming anyone. Like “I failed my math exam time to die”
