Re:I need to know
I think you mean "Taiji" when you say "Tai Chi".

"Taiji" is an abstract concept in ancient Chinese philosophy. I think most young Chinese people don't know the real meaning of "Taiji", sadly, this also includes me. The only thing I know about "Taiji" is that it's the origin of "Yin" and "Yang" (loosely translated means "negative" and "positive" respetively), and "Yin" and "Yang" are basically the origin of everything in this universe.

Confused? Don't worry, because most of the time when we say "Taiji", we are actually referring to "Taiji Quan", which is a special kind of martial art based on the concept of "Taiji".

"Kung-Fu" means any kind of special ability you gain from long period of hard working and practicing. But I believe that in English "Kung-Fu" is no different from the word "Wu-Shu", which only means Chinese Martial Art.
