Hi Irina,
good idea ! Do you teach languages or another subject ? How old are your students ?
I teach English to 15 / 16 year-olds in a highschool in the south of Alsace, where the French/German/Swiss borders meet. I like my school and most of the students, though it's very hard now because of the cold weather and Christmas approaching - everybody feels tired and demotivated.
Do you have any experience in classes exchange ? I talked about it with a colleague over lunch and we would love to organise one.
I just came back from a parent/teacher meeting and I'm pretty worn out, so I'll say bye for now.

Hello Carole! Very nice to meet you. I would like to join your ideas. I teach English at high school . My students are 14-16 years old and would like to have pen pals too. How can we contact each other? I will be happy to talk to you.

I'll get a gold membership next week because it's really frustrating not to be able to contact people - so I'll contact you as soon as it's done.
It would be nice to start postal correspondance between our students, still this year ! How many students would be involved ? If you want, tomorrow I can make a survey in my classes to know how many of them would be interested to have a penpal in Russia.
I was at the Christmas market in Colmar today, and I bought a poplar-wood carved little "doll" from two Russian ladies there ! It is so nice ! They had wonderful things, I wish I could have bought more ! My in-laws took a cruise to St-Petersbourg two years ago in August, and they brought matriochkas for our daughters, and a wooden bird for us. I still need to paint it - I wish I could send pictures ! But you surely know what I mean.
Well, we can keep in touch on the forum here until I contact you personally. Best wishes for the Christmas season !

I haven't forgotten about you, but we had lots of computer problems lately and I haven't any internet access except at work, and it's limited - plus there is a LOT of work so... I will get back to you as soon as everything is back to normal, I hope by next week.
