Trying to decide between Italian, French, or Mandarin
Right now I'm studying French, Italian, and Chinese but don't have the time for three languages so I want to choose just one and focus all my efforts to one language. Which would you choose and why?

Language pair: French; Chinese, Mandarin

Re:Trying to decide between Italian, French, or Mandarin
Hi Josh,

As a French speaker shall I give you my point of view. French is a really hard language to learn due to the fact that you have to conjugate verbs, a word is written differently when it is singular, plural, its "gender"..

In France depending the courses you take, you learn French at least until you're in high school and I don't think you will ever learn all its secrets. I do think it's one of the most beautiful language. It just takes a lot of times to know all the "tricks".

Regarding Mandarin, looking at the growth of China in our world, in my opinion it is also worth learning. Well, I don't know much about this language so I can't tell you whether it is hard to learn or not.

I have no comment about Italian but it is the same advice for almost everything : do what you LIKE. You will not succeed if you're forcing yourself rather than do it with joyfully.
