Hey who wants to help me with Arabic? :)
Salam alaykum I'm a Muslim woman living in Australia, looking for a Saudi woman to teach her English and she teaches me Arabic! Women only, I won't speak to any men. Salam alaykum.

Salaam aleikum, Huda. I'm a Kiwi Muslim and just want to make sure you're getting what you need from this exchange. Unless you want to live in Saudi or have lots of Saudi friends, the gulf dialect and accent are not much use. The language spoken in Jordan is closest to Quranic Arabic, the Egyptian dialect (although far removed) is widely understood because they are responsible for most of the music, films, television programs and a lot of textbooks are for learning Egyptian Arabic.
Sorry if you already know all this, I just don't want you to waste your effort. Bi ithne Allah you'll succeed in whichever form you decide to study.
