Hungarian is not an easy language and I have found that students generally cannot commit more than 1-2 days a week for lessons. Consequently, after presenting the materials, I immediately apply the principle to practice, in oral drills, written exercises, and reading aloud. |

There are three major aspects of language learning: Vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation . Danish grammar is actually relatively simple when compared to other languages. The nemesis of Danish for most English or American English speakers is the highly gutteral pronunciation . Over many years, I have mastered a number of tricks and techniques for teaching this. In person is best, but over the phone is possible.
I also use a specific text for my beginning and intermediate students which I have found highly effective in quickly grasping grammatical concepts while at the same time building vocabulary in a fun environment of stories, dialog and exercises which I ask the students to complete prior to each lesson. This allows me to assess strengths and weaknesses on a lesson by lesson basis and work with them.
