Summarizing my profile, I am a passionate high-tech language teacher with great experience in teaching children and adults. In my current position, I work as a Teacher of Classics in an American Online Latin School , an accredited School by the Western Association of Schools for secondary and university students and on my own as well.At the same time, I have welcomed the opportunity to familiarize myself with the British educational system through the Cover Teacher role in a wide variety of secondary schools in Sussex. Taking this into consideration , I feel that I am in the right place, the right time and the right conditions which gives me a deeper understanding thus allowing me to learn something new every day. With more than 12 years’ experience as a Teacher of Classics, I have gained strong classroom management skills and the ability to build strong mentoring relationships with my students. My background includes teaching Greek , Latin and Writing to culturally and linguisticall y... |

Dutch 4 Beginners offers private face-to-face Dutch language lessons in Nottingham and online via Skype, specifically tailored to your needs, whether you would just like to learn a new language or because you want to learn Dutch to move to the Netherlands. The Dutch language courses will focus on the subjects that are important to you!
Pronu nciation and grammar will always have a central role in your lessons, as it is essential to learning Dutch. What topics we focus on will depend on the reason why you are learning Dutch and what you want to get out of the course. If you are a beginner, the first lessons will focus on pronunciation primarily, however after that, we will also focus on Dutch grammar, reading & writing in Dutch and Dutch vocabulary. |

Teaching approach: |
My approach is very simple. I plan my lessons according to each and every student's need. I ask their opinion as to what is most appropriate and suitable for them. I am very flexible and I don't have any hard and fast rules. My teaching method varies with each student and I make sure that they are comfortable with my way of teaching. |

Teaching approach: |
English: My approach is to teach the four skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening) to build student's confidence so that they can communicate at whatever level in English. I use well-tried methods such as emphasis on high-frequenc y words for reading, worksheets I have prepared for practice, and role-plays for gaining confidence in speaking. I have taught students from Beginners to IELTS, and students with particular learning difficulties, such as dyslexia. My approach is also to make the lessons enjoyable, as learning through being comfortable and happy with the teacher I think is most important.
Spanish: Wit h Spanish I can only truthfully offer up to Intermediate level. In Oman I had a class for six months of six total beginner teenage students, who ended up being able to write and perform a rap song in Spanish! My methods are obviously the same as I use with English, and I try to make the classes enjoyable.

Teaching approach: |
For each individual, the way he or she feels most comfortable and motivated in language learning depends on his or her individual personality, his or her reason for learning the language, the time he or she has available for studying and many other factors besides. Experience in eight years of teaching has taught me that adjusting to the student's individuality is the key to unlocking his or her language learning potential. So, classes start when we begin to interact, as teacher and student. I hope to hear from you, if what you have read seems to match your own personal feelings about language learning. Let's see! |
