Some people believe you can learn Persian by only speaking, not reading or writing. I am not among them, though. I strongly believe nobody likes to be illiterate in any language. That's why I divide the first sessions of my classes into two parts. First, using original videos we learn the alphabet step by step, then we go to the book starting learning Persian through conversations and picture descriptions.
Besides the mentioned videos, at each lesson, you learn a number of letters, with which we have to make words. We use these verbs to make simple Persian sentences.
The overall goal of the first step is to be able to:
introduc e yourself and your friends,
Tal k about your nationality and ask other people about theirs
Ask yes/no questions
ta lk about your job
talk about your family
descr ibe your place
use present and past simple
When you have mastered this level, we will move on to more sophisticated and complex notions.
