I know the struggle of learning the Spanish language. I felt like giving up many times but continued because of the need I had to learn it. I believe that full immersion is the best way to learn. Although this is difficult when you are not living in a Spanish speaking country it can be done. I frown on the use of English whether it is from myself or a student but realize that it is sometimes necessary. Students will be taught at a level and pace they feel comfortable with. |

Communication becomes of primary importance not a recitation of boring grammatical rules and usage. Mnemonics are used along with interesting articles and fun exercises on the Internet. Instead of just teaching students how to say phrases in spanish, i teach them how to put the phrases together. I try to have them not just memorize spanish, but understand it. |
