In each lesson I include a little bit of grammar and a little bit of vocabulary.
Depending on students, we can use a book or I could do exercises on my own.
I prefer teaching in person because is much easier to show objects, but also I can make it on some other way. I try not to use other languages if possible, making students use Croatian from the very first beginning.
Also, I give homeworks and try to include Croatian in his/her life through Croatian music, movies, texts,...
Through teaching Croatian, I also try to teach people about Croatian culture, tradition, customs and lifestyle. |

In the first lesson - we get to know. That way, I can see what are your strengths and weaknesses - based on that, with your cooperation, I develop further lesson plans. As for myself, I am a teacher of English as a second language, specialized for primary school. Currently, I am teaching 5 students in Croatia (ages 9 - 18) the English language and one student the Croatian language. Most of my students say: "You could not possibly be a teacher - teachers are never that amusing and friendly." I am definitely not a traditional teacher, because my lessons are entertaining, yet educational. |
