I'm equipped with the Communicative Teaching Method, a philosophy that I’m excited to see you use at your school. I apply this method in the classroom through interactive, student-cente red activities that maximize “student talk time.” I scaffold my lessons so that they include pair and group work, as well as movement around the classroom. By engaging students in speaking, grammar, writing, listening, and reading and appealing to diverse learning styles, I help them improve their accuracy and fluency across key skill areas.
In my classes, I typically set aside five to ten minutes at the start of each class for students whose curiosity will be raised accordingly.

I believe that for anybody to become proficient in a language they need to practise their speaking and listening skills on a regular basis. While reading and writing a language may go some way towards helping students improve their basic language skills, it is vital that they immerse themselves in that language through speaking it. Language learners must also make the effort to read widely and often, and this can often be done without help from the teacher. |
