Description

I want to learn Pashto because my fiance is Afghan, and it would make him very happy if I learned to speak and understand it well. It would also make it easier for me to communicate with his family. I have tried to teach myself a few phrases, just by memorization, but my pronunciation is off, and my understanding of some words is not that well. I need to learn how to pronounce, talk, and understand how to read, and understand when others talk. I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can. Perhaps 10 hours a week, 3 or 4 hours a day. I already speak Arabic, so I am familiar with the letters. My pronunciation and how to speak, and understand needs help.

I am looking for a teacher who will push me so that I will be fluent in Pashto and am able to speak with confidence. It would be a great surprise to my fiance. I would like to have a teacher who is calm, and patient with me because that is how I work best.
