I have spent approximately two months in SE Asia for more than 20 years, primarily in Thailand, where I work volunteer. I have learned Thai through self-teaching , with use of manuals, through my Thai friends, and also, through some private lessons with a Thai language teacher in Chiang Mai. I have studied conversation, and also reading and writing, some. I plan to continue traveling and working in Thailand, and want to improve my language skills.
I would say that I am intermediate.
I want to expand my vocabulary, improve pronounciatio n, and learn more reading and writing skills.
i would like to have a lesson either every week or every other week.
I would like the teacher to be able to adapt to my skill level, which is intermediate, but not learned through any formal program, to be able to hear and improve my pronunciation , and especially help me understand Thai speakers in Thailand better.
