Description

I am learning Vietnamese because I am interested in studying abroad in Ho Chi Minh City through a CIEE program based at the Vietnamese National University. In order for me to have this study abroad experience, I am applying for the Boren Undergraduate Scholarship which is very competitive nationwide. If I want to succeed in this scholarship, I know that I must start beginner Vietnamese.

I would like to start with speaking and listening in every day conversations . I would like to learn basic grammar as well as the alphabet.

I would like to dedicate an hour of my time for language lessons once a week.

I am looking for a teacher who is just as dedicated to my learning as I am. I prefer a teacher who can teach me Vietnamese by simultaneousl y concentrating on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I think that is the best way to teach a language.

I'd also like a professor who makes learning fun!
