I want to mainly focus on reading and writing Chinese. My speech is relatively find and I am able to communicate on a daily basis with no problem. I guess my main issue is just learning new vocabularies and learning how to write some simple papers as well as reading.

I am Canadian born Chinese. My parents speak Toisan at home. I used to speak this very well when I was younger, but have lost almost all of it now. I always speak English. I barely speak to my parents and I would like to be able to speak to them again. But I would like to learn Cantonese to speak to people in restaurants or just Chinese people in general. It is very embarrassing for me to be Chinese and not to be able to speak the language.

Hi there,
My name is Caylie and I am 17 years of age.
I was interested in taking chinese tutoring
because of my age it is hard to place me in the
appropri ate class for chinese school. I am Chinese and
cantonese is my native tongue although because I was
born here in Canada I do not speak it very well and english
has become my dominant language. I was hoping to get a tutor
so that I could improve on my Chinese including learning how to read and write in chinese. I was thinking about taking tutoring about twice a wk for an hour or two each session.

- I'm a beginner
- My girlfriend is from Hong Kong and I think it's important that I learn her first language and I also would like to know because I think it will help me in my Career eventually when I finish school
