I have no experience with any Chinese, And I want to travel China one day so I decided to get the language down, Also I have family friends who speak it and I think it would be fun to learn. I have many chinese speaking friends and would love to be able to communicate with their families. I also am a huge fan of learning a new language and think that chinese would be a great one to learn. Although I have been told Mandarin would be easier i would prefer cantonese. I am at the begginner level and have done some audio cd lessons but would like to be able to carry a conversation. I work throughout the week and would like to dedicate some evenings to learning a new langauge.

I'm a beginning Cantonese speaker with basic reading and writing skills. I'd like to focus on developing my conversation skills for a business environment.
I'm looking for work in Hong Kong so I plan to devote much of my remaining time in Canada to improve my language skill.
