Both my parents were born in Hungary. They came to Canada at a young age. When my grandparents would visit everybody would speak Hungarian. I went to university in Tennessee and forgot what I learned. Last fall I went with my wife and son to Budapest and met family that I never met before. We even went to Baktalarenhaz a were my mother was born. My memory of the language came back the longer we stayed. So I want to improve my skills. My wife may join us if possible.

Hello,
I have no prior knowledge of Hungarian but wish to begin learning in preparation for a PhD in history which will require me to read primary documents in Hungarian. I am mainly looking to learn to read at an intensive rate. I am willing to dedicate multiple hours a week to learning and am looking for a teacher who is able to adapt to my needs and provide me with intensive teaching and support as I wish to be able to read at an intermediate level by next September.
