I want to learn Portuguese in order to advance my college application and carrear options. I am fluent in Spanish so that might help a little in learning Portuguese, other than that a total beginner. I would mainly like to learn how to speak the language. I can dedicate one or two hours evey day and several hours on the weekend. I want a teacher that will work with me at a confortable pace and to provide a good learning experience.

I want to learn this foreign language because I would like to go visit Brasil and many of my friends are brasilian.
I understand a little but still would like to begin in the beginners level.
I especially need improvement in conversation and accent.
I would like to dedicate perhaps 2 hours a week since I work and have a busy schedule. Saturdays is a good day for me.

I am trying to learn Portuguese because my boyfriend is Brazilian and eventually I would like to move to Brazil. However, I do not have any experience in speaking Portuguese other than the very basics. I need improvements in all areas. Perhaps it would be great to start with grammer? I would like to set to meet with my teacher 2 times a week with some sort of course schedule if possible. It does not have to be formal, but I would like some direction (what to read out of the tutoring sessions, etc). For my teacher, I would like them to be patient with me. It's even hard for me to remember things in everyday life, so I may forget easily.
