I am looking to learn Slovak along with my brother and parents. My father's parents were originally from Slovakia, and we are hoping to learn together to connect with our roots and prepare for a possible trip to Slovakia. We are beginners, except my father who spoke Slovak as a child but has largely forgotten the language. We would like to start out with weekly lessons and possibly progress to more. Hello!
I would like to learn Slovak because my fiance is from Slovakia and speaks Slovak as does his entire family. I attempted a Slovak course in the area and the teacher taught with a 'non-traditio nal' teaching method that just did not work for me! I know Slovak is extremely difficult to learn but I'd like to master some basic conversationa l skills. Thank you!

I am learning Slovak in hopes of moving to Vel'ký Kritiš in a few years.
I am a complete beginner and I have a lot of work to do.
I really need help with grammar and the foundations of the language.
I want to dedicate at least one hour once a week maybe more in January 2015.
If there is a teacher that lives close, I would love to do face to face. I am also open to Skype. I need a teacher that is proficient in grammar and a prepared teacher.
