I would like to learn Urdu because I would one day love to visit Pakistan and India. The majority of my friends speak Hindi and/or Urdu. It's a language and culture I've been really interested in for quite some time and I have taken some Hindi classes. I love bollywood movies and would love to enjoy them without subtitles. I am still at beginner level, I can understand bits and pieces as well as speak few phrases. I would mostly like to learn to speak/underst and the language but would also enjoy learning to read and write. Learning about the Muslim culture and religion has become a passion of mine as well. I have a lot of respect for the Hindustani people. I would like to dedicate as much time as possible to my studies. I work weekdays until 6 and Saturdays until 2. If night classes are available or Sundays it would be much appreciated. Shukriya bahut. :)

I have no previous experience with Arabic and have always wanted to learn it.
I have learned a little Japanese (in college), German (while in Germany) and urdu. Thus, I would also like to improve on these three languages.
I want to achieve native speaking level (pronunciatio n and listening) as well as writing, reading, and vocabulary. If I can't have lessons in person, I would like the make full use of internet and phone.

I would like to learn Urdu in order communicate with my elderly family. I am at a beginner level. Better yet I don't know how to pronounce anything. I just need enough to be able to have a conversation with my family. I know two languages right now. Spanish and English. I am very extremely motivated and dedicated to learn a new language.
