1) I am a beginner in both Latin and Aramaic.
2) I wish to become proficient in reading and writing in both of these as I am working on my M.A. in Art History and these languages directly relate to my area(s) of emphasis. (Classical Studies in Art History.) It would be wonderful to have conversaional skills, if this is available in such above languages. My immediate needs are for grammar, etc., for translation necessities.
3) I will dedicate 5+ hours per day.
4) I am looking for a teacher with a good academic background. A knowledge of Aramaic and Latin Texts as relates to History, Culture, and Religious Studies would be very helpful.

I'm a native Cambodian speaker, as well as French. I was born and raised in France, but my family is Cambodian. I have taken a couple of semesters of Cambodian in college at the University of California, Berkeley, but I have forgotten most of it, and would like to keep up with the language. I tested a 3+(speaking), 3+(listening) , and a 0+(reading) at the Washington Language Center a few months ago. I would like to dedicate a couple of hours to learning Khmer every week. In addition to improving my reading/writi ng skills, I am also looking for enhancing my vocabulary, especially in terms of economics and politics. My current vocabulary is more 'kitchen' Cambodian.

I have had 1 year of formal education in Russian language, but that was several years ago.
