I am studying Arabic for fun. It is my 8th language and I currently speak 4 of them fluently and I have taught French for 40+ years so I know how to learn a language. I am a intermediate- advanced beginner having completed 30 lessons(30 mins each) of Egyptian Arabic using the Pinsleur method and supplementing it with another text. I learn languages fairly easily and have a good ear and a good memory, I am primarly interested in conversation Initially. I wish to spend 1-2 hours per week with a teacher. I want to use a book which has an answer key and preferably CD's or DVD's to study on my own and use the teacher as a consultant who can answer my questions and model prononciation for me .I can write Arabic script and sometimes decode it but not yet really read so I need a teaher who is able/willing to transliterate I can speak clearly and am understood by people from Saudi, Yemen, Egyot, Iraq, North Africa but my conversationa l skills are extremely limited.

I am pursuing the egyptian dialect because not only is it my heritage but i am also a foriegn language major at APSU. Unfortunately they do not offer any Arabic languages. I am a beginner in speaking egyptian arabic.I will dedicate as much time as I can. I would like s teacher who is willing to teach.
