Hi! I’m Tina and I live in the Clearwater, Florida area. I’m learning Spanish because I can read it fairly well, but I want to become much more confident with speaking and listening in real conversations . I’m a beginner‑inte rmediate overall, but my priority is improving my conversationa l skills — not so much reading or writing (that’s what AI is for). I’m specifically interested in Latin American Spanish, not Castellano. I’m available most days after 11am and plan to practice regularly, as I’m a disabled US Army Veteran and semi‑retired, so I definitely have time on my hands. I’m looking for a patient, friendly teacher who focuses on real communication , keeps things relaxed, and can guide me at a steady pace while still correcting me when needed. I’m excited to learn consistently and connect with people through the language.

I am currently looking to learn Cuban Spanish. I'm Cuban-America n and I feel very disconnected from my roots. I'm hoping to learn the language as it's spoken in Cuba, not only because I want to feel more connected to my culture and my people, but also because I want to visit Cuba one day. I'm unsure of how much time I will be able to spend on this with a teacher, I'm currently hoping for once or twice a month, but I will do my best to practice everyday. I'm looking for a teacher who currently lives in Cuba or knows how Cubans in Cuba speak. I also am looking for someone who can be patient with me, as I have no experience with Spanish outside of basic pronunciation of letters.

I am a low intermediate Spanish speaker who wants to improve my Spanish both for work and for travel. I have several imtercambios every week and get a lot of listening practice from podcasts but I need some help focusing on specific grammar topics and having a more defined plan of study.I can study almost every day for half an hour, sometimes more.
