Hello,
I just returned from the Peace Corps a year ago. I was in Azerbaijan. I am looking for groups of Azerbaijanis or people that speak Azerbaijani to practice and keep up on my skills. I have been studying on my own, but am looking to talk with someone locally. Because I do not speak it often, I feel I am losing my language skills. I still talk to my family and friends in Azerbaijan, but it is difficult to talk to them often because of the time change.
If you know of any groups or anyone that would like to meet up to practice speaking, please let me know.

I would like to learn to speak Azeri, ideally the Southern dialect, or what is spoken in Northern Iran. This is where my family lives and I would like to be able to speak with them! I have visited a few times and understand some basic vocabulary and accent but grammatically I am a beginner.
I would like to find someone who can teach me to speak at a conversationa l level and it must be in person. I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere within the San Francisco Bay Area.

My Language background. English is my native language.
I can read and write Farsi at an intermediate level. I cannot speak or understand it. I do not know anything in Azerbaijani.
