Hi, My name is Alyssa. I'm a beginner Japanese and French and have yet to start learning Russian on my own but i wish to know all three of this language. I love the Japanese language and my Hertiage is French and Russian so i think it's important that i take a step in learning these. I'd like to have classes two or three times a week or weekends. I do not know a word of Japanese other than a few different kinds of sushi! I'm going to Japan in July with the JET program, and i thought it would be a good idea to learn the basics of the language before I immersed myself in it.
I would like to dedicate about 6-8 hours/week to my language lessons, but I work full-time so depending on the teacher's availability I don't know if that will be possible.
I'm looking for a teacher who is outgoint, friendly and [atient and who can teach me about the culture of Japan as well as the language. I learn visually so I like written assignments and I love to talk and listen! I'd like lessons that are intensive enough that I can have a fair grasp of the language before I leave in 3 months.

I am a beginner in learning Japanese. At the moment I am using a CD/Book combo to try and get used to the basics of the language. For a long time I've had a great interest in Japanese culture and history and would one day like to take an extended visit to Japan. With my current job I am only able to take lessons on the weekend, but every day of the week I'm always studying any book or learning source I can get my hands on and I'm confident that I can learn very quickly.
